Seems well loved, not a horrible deal but some caveats:
Would absolutely ask the age and mileage on the drivetrain components. Being that old, I hope it’s had some of those replaced but who knows. You can check the chain wear in 30 seconds with a tape measure or ruler. If it’s fairly worn I would ask closer to $800 as you’re gonna have to put some money into new parts in not too long.
Second, that bike uses Specialized’s proprietary SCS wheel spacing. If you don’t ever plan on replacing the wheels, then it’s probably not a huge issue, but if you want to or god forbid need to due to damage, it will be either very tricky or expensive to replace them, as they do not use standard axle spacing and are no longer produced.
