For the fourth year in a row, I attended the World Naked Bike Ride, and this year hit differently.
Within minutes of arriving, I struck up a conversation with a fellow rider and asked what brought him out. Without hesitation, he shared that he had spent much of his life feeling self-conscious about his body and wanted to challenge himself to show up anyway. It was an act of self-acceptance, courage, and self-love.
That single conversation changed the way I saw the entire event.
As I looked around, I wasn’t seeing what most people imagine when they hear “naked bike ride.” I was seeing people of all ages, shapes, sizes, and backgrounds choosing to be seen exactly as they are. No filters. No hiding. No pretending.
Over the years, I’ve always appreciated the ride for the freedom, the cycling, the environmental message, and the sense of adventure. But this year, through the lens of the work I’m doing with Connection Over Compulsion, I saw something deeper.
I saw community.
I saw acceptance.
I saw people pushing past shame, fear, and stigma.
I saw human beings looking for what we all want at the end of the day: to feel seen, acknowledged, and accepted.
I ended up having longer conversations than ever before, met an officer who decided to participate despite the potential judgment, and even landed an interview with Naked News where I got to share a little about my channel.
Although I had to leave early, I left with a new appreciation for the event. What I once viewed primarily as a protest and celebration of body freedom now feels like something more—a reminder that connection, belonging, and self-acceptance are powerful forces.
Whether you agree with the ride or not, it left me reflecting on an important question:
How much of our lives do we spend hiding parts of ourselves, and what might change if we felt safe enough to be seen?
Enjoy the vlog.

Sei stupenda ❤❤❤
Sayangnya di negara indonesia tidak diperbolehkan nudisme😢😢
Otoritas terkait langsung melakukan pembinaan, langsung dikira orang gila😢😢
We have several reason to support the WNBR.
– Support the bicycle, support the environment
– support the liberty
– support the right to nudity
– Nudity is a symbol of fragility. In front of a car, pedestrians and cyclists have no protections.
– promote the non-sexual nudity. Nudity is not a matter of shame, is not ridiculous, is not a matter of scandal
– and simply, people (cyclists as well as people in the streets) have fun this day. That should be enough.
It was my first time from Wellington Arch Hyde Park Corner. I was worried that it was going to be fast but there was so many riders it was slow to a comfortable pace.
It was not sexual at all
Thank you. Joined London WNBR, Chelmsford WNBR this Sat 14.00pm
