I would like to talk about my recent life. From September 2011 to September 2024, I traveled by bicycle across six continents around the world. I went to Berlin, Germany, to run a marathon, and after that I ended up staying in Berlin for a while.
In this video, I will talk about why I came to Berlin, how I have been living there, and why I was not able to upload any update videos about Life update.

  2. Hello from London. Thank you for sharing how things have been going and sorry that things have been tough at times. I enjoyed following your adventures. I cycle everywhere myself. I'm a web developer and the last job I was writing code and now I'm writing AI prompts and reviewing code. Times are changing. If you visit London with your bike I'd be pleased to show you the traffic free routes with my partner and talk tech and start-up ideas. Your travel experience would not be a conversation killer with me!

  3. I am double your age and I still think about all my bicycle touring all.iver the world everyday. It never leaves you, because it is you. I visited a friend when I was 16 and they lived in the mountains. I borrowed a bike and road from his house to a small local town. In 1981 , I bought a bicycle touring book and I was so amazed and had so much fun and freedom and energy riding in the mountains and not in the flat hot humid area I lived in and I thought I can bicycle tour and travel. I read that bicycle touring book how to bicycle touring over and over. The only think I regret in life is not starting a bicycle touring company way back in the early 1990's. Like I had dreamed of doing while touring on my bike and thinking of the future all those 1000' of hours of meditation on the bicycle. I wanted to lead bicycle tours in Mexico back in the 1996. I remember I told a friend of my plan and he just laughed at me and said it was stupid. Lol ,,,, so I never tried. Maybe you could be an owner of a bicycle touring company in Germany to South Korean cyclists. Week long tours. Summer Germany, and in the winter months lead tours in Chile, Argentina or Australia or New Zealand. South Africa

  4. Boa tarde. Acredito que tem muitas pessoas interessadas em ler ou ouvir suas histórias, num modo digital. Você pode ter um livro digital. Acompanhei suas viagens e elas tem muito bom conteúdo. É uma história leve! Eu gostei!

  5. Silicon Valley is something I want to escape. The publishers and yc folks you are talking to are just gatekeepers. The key is to start building the thing. The book? That industry is just pushing out bad books lately as readers turn to online tablet content. If your manuscript is done, with your video editing skill? make the audiobook / movie. With the startup? use Claude. just the free version. The most elite programmers I know aren't hand-writing code anymore. Think of those meetups you went to as a good example of Bay Area culture where people casually turn away. You're not missing anything here in CA. My vote? Go somewhere cheap and beautiful like Goa or Greece and build your startup from there. Places like the Bay Area are rough in real life. Lots of fake people with more money than sense and lots of sitting in traffic. Just build the thing. One pedal at a time. One little step at a time.

  6. Nice to see you back, Yin, and thank you for the update video. I would give nothing on this "Berlin Start Up"-fraud system as you realised by yourself. The event companies are paid with taxpayers money very well. The bosses of these "event companies" are politically well connected (meaning they are in the same party) what is why they are selected by the administration. For them it just counts that they did something to charge the government, not that they support someone. The one who are funded are also politically pre selected (also in the party). Meaning they are a relative of one of the politicians who makes the decisions. So it will be not you who get anything even if you deserve it. It is just about to convert taxpayers money to the politically active party clan. Berlin is a higly corrupted city. I am always happy when I can leave it behind and am back in Switzerland. All the freelancers I know had previously an emplee position or built the company in parallel to an employee job. So it will be double tough for you as you need nearly always a monetary investment outside of time. So good luck. I always thought that you will end up in such a company as "Globetrotter" with their several shops in Berlin as a sales person at least for a certain time.

  7. Have you tried using AI to build your app? Eg. Lovable? It is possible to launch your product with it and after gaining first clients yiu could hire a developer.

  8. PLEASE please please continue with your book and youtube vids. We miss you and look forward to many more vids and we want to read your book. STAY strong and NEVER GIVE UP ! 💚 💫💯💫 🌷🥀🌷

  9. Where is your yellow bike? I would watch videos of you riding around Germany while you're still there. Even if it's only regular riding, about your life, Berlin… that kind of thing.

  10. So good to see and hear from you Jin! Such an amazing woman, such an insperation to keep on moving forward in life! I wish you all the success this world has to offer! Bon voyage!

  11. Hi Jin, I was also doing lots of bike touring and wrote 3 self-published books which do get some sales on Amazon. Of course your story deserves a publisher as you have achieved so much and surely have so many amazing stories to share, but should this not happen maybe you could invest time in acquiring some self publishing skills. Amazon does make it quite easy as they have good tools that help to format ebooks and hard copies. All the best to you and wish you a wonderful life ahead!

  12. At the coffee klatch after the Founders' run – were you speaking in German or English? Are you also fluent in German ?!?! By the by, AI translation is outstanding these days; it should relieve the need to write English by hand. Just dictate in Korean, then touch up the generated English.

FWIW, I would assess bicycling around the world and all continents ON YOUR OWN would be a phenomenal accomplishment, which would commend you to any job. It required a deep commitment, self-discipline and persistence. GOOD LUCK – although I think you've already made your own good luck. To coopt the famous dictum: "Luck is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration".

Is there a Korean community in Berlin? It might be enjoyable to share home cooking and discussions of childhood experiences.

Thank you for sharing your difficult times. (Vielen Dank)

  13. Although none wants to admit it or even hear it: The problems with the sequence of colds, the weak immune system (a lot of people have it), and the origin are the 2021 experimental death jabs. Still, this shit is years later there.

  14. Those start up people can’t recognize how amazing your story is. You should focus on building a community apart from those people who don’t recognize the value you bring. Hope you can stop back in San Francisco on your journey and I can see you cycling here.

I prefer original version rather than auto generated. You should try swimming to help with rehab from back problems. We had our Fina Master’s Swimming Worlds in Gwangju Korea back in 2019. My teammate won 200 freestyle after turning 70.

  15. I'm sorry you've received so much rejection. I think the startup people don't understand your potential to do many things other than travel on bike alone. But that makes sense, because it sounds like you didn't describe your accomplishments very well. I suggest you practice telling your story, highlighting your challenges and how you overcame them. You might need a salespitch that says, "Since I have done A, B, and C, I will be able to do X, Y, and Z." But you have to decide what the connections are.

Once you have a company of your own, what do you envision that company doing? Manufacture things, provide services, create new things, repair things? It's vague to say you want a startup.
Also, when you have a fever and your throat is white, you should see a doctor. That sounds like strep throat (the streptococcus virus), and it can be serious. I used to get it a lot, and I suggest you avoid it if possible and get quick treatment whenever you get it.

  16. Nice to hear from you again. I seriously think that you should opt for a book in English. You have built up a international following, where many of us will be happy to buy and read your book. I am one who would love to buy and read your book for instance.

  17. Jin, i have been following you for four years. I have always found you to be a really beautiful person. So honest, so real, so humble. I really think you have something of great value for people in these times where we are all struggling to get by. It's about your mindset, your outlook, and the way you handle difficult things. Maybe you could position yourself as someone who managed to cycle all six continents with a great attitude as the primal force. And please, start using your name, it will help people remember you. ❤

  18. Salut Jin (from French Switzerland), How time has flown since your first videos of cycling on the road! One thing struck me: why do you want to ‘fall in line’ with the masses of young people who’ve been indoctrinated with globalism? Just by stepping into this start-up forum, you notice the common thread among the candidates: they have no real useful knowledge, no values or culture, and are completely dehumanised. They’re just social climbers who are, in reality, parasites on society. The few who get ahead will be the worst of this world – the same people we see in power in globalised nations. – On another note, why stay in this country where you’re constantly ill because it’s so cold, except in summer when it’s too hot? Perhaps you’ve overlooked something essential: listening to your body and following your instincts, but above all, returning to what first drew you in on your life’s journey. It certainly isn’t something that will make you financially rich. But do you think those who trample on others and can buy anything are happy? If you stopped trying to fit in and please others, you’d rediscover your hidden talents and find an authentic path that will seem perfectly obvious! Bon vent (dans le dos:)^^

  19. It's actually super shocking to me that the people weren't interested in your cycling the world background but was asking about your work background. It shows that their attention isn't exactly interested in that and I see that as a failure on their part. Because to me you would be a wealth of experience that we could possible enjoy a looong conversation. Maybe you would benefit more from people that are genuinely interested in you and the questions they would ask would help you explore your wealth of experience and give you different perspective about your experiences you potentially never thought about!
