Any recommendations for cheap but not crap self aligning clamps for a C-Line? The ones in the photo which have one longer arm on the clamp (which aligns with the non folding side of the frame) are only a few weeks old and I noticed the gap is almost gone which means they are rapidly yielding and are dangerous, I'm going to revert to stock until I find better ones. I have the same style on another old Brompton and they have lasted years so clearly they are not all built the same.

Aluminum grades very in softness; I think the 6061-T6, Might be good enough.
* **7075-T6:** Hardness ~ 150 HB / 87 HRB (Aerospace/defense)
* **6061-T6:** Hardness ~ 95 HB / 60 HRB (General structural & CNC machining)
Any reason not to just pick up these for your default clamps? [https://ochparts.com/products/anti-swivel-clamp-tool-for-brompton?variant=43410177720550](https://ochparts.com/products/anti-swivel-clamp-tool-for-brompton?variant=43410177720550)
Just add an EZ clamp spring (the original self-aligning springs) to the regular clamps: [https://ezclamp.co.uk/](https://ezclamp.co.uk/)
They also have great suspension blocks.
