Stripped, sanded from 120-3500 grit and polished my Allez Sprint (including the fork). Far from perfect, and a lot of work, but pretty happy with the result. Built it back up using a mix of components I had laying around, hence the mix of 105, Ultegra and DuraAce.

Beautiful!
Wow!
I think I just pissed my pants. 🤤
This is so good, we need to boo the next guy that posts a bike they bought stock, straight from the store.
You should get those wheels checked out, some of the spokes seem to be disappearing.
Love silver bikes lol. Shinier the better 😂
Should try to clear coat though. Shiny aluminum won’t last even if you don’t ride it. Mositure in the air alone will dull it over time.
Beautiful!
I am a huge fan of polished bike, they look awesome and their looks hold up. I have a polished aluminum Cannondale from 1995 and it still looks great.
Love it!
Hot damn that’s nice. Reminds me of my old clear coated SystemSix (I’m talking the 2007 model, carbon front/aluminum rear). Shiny 🙂
This is so sick!
I didn’t know I wanted a chrome frame until today!
Have you noticed any downsides with the shiny finish?
Magnificent 🤌🏻
Beautiful…. I feel I would need to clean it constantly
would
Sick!
Those weld points look horrendous
Looks pretty damn sweet. Only thing id look out for is the UV protection on the fork. If you sanded down far enough, it may degrade over time. Probably a non-issue but something to think about.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say this bike is going to influence a lot of future builds. You’ve done something that I haven’t seen since the 90’s when chrome BMX were a thing
That is the most beautiful paint job I’ve ever seen
