I guess it'd be x-biking if you utilized your first mtb that was converted to 1×1 for townie duties up a big ol' pass. 20rpm takes some getting used to lol.

Love this bike!! My first mtb. Every component on that bike is not original, *except* the press-fit cartridge BB bearings and spindle. A tad creaky, but still spinning smooth! I guess stem and fork are also the original. 1-1/4″ Evolution threaded headset, btw, pretty sure I replaced that sometime in the early 00’s. Peak pre-Trek Gary Fisher
