  1. Wolverhampton taxi plates are everywhere in the UK. The next space mission will feature a brand new space shuttle with a Wolverhampton taxi plate on it.

  2. No, the way it works in the states at least is that there are different uber like subcontractors or licensors but also payroll in different areas, in the US usually the boundaries are states. I registered in california and could take trips to nevada, but a different company pays you out and licenses you to take rides in nevada so I couldn't pick anyone up there.

  3. In NZ you just need a legal car.
No council gets to tell you what roads you are allowed to use, whats next who is allowed to stand in the street? Dirty little serfdom of their own eh?

  4. 11:58 Too late for his “ blur” really, he’s a subject of the video now which means he can’t technically have a “ blur” if he had just kept his head down he wouldn’t be a subject, simple 👍

  5. England, Scotland and Wales is a gift for taxis and ordinary cars passing MOT. Northern Ireland MOT and taxi checks for perfect vehicles. Are all done by government sites, no private garage where friends can pass your car.
I have seen people take cars to England from Northern Ireland to sell and they were refused MOT in Northern Ireland. And flew through the tests in Scotland and England.
They have a line where your car drive along. Underside checks the whole way by inspectors. No repairs done there. First MOT is 4 years after buying a new car. Shows that the government already know what its like in Northern Ireland. 1 in 5 will fail, its 1 in 4 in the mainland. Why is that? Because the MOT centres in NI do not charge for repairs.
I have had blinkers fail in England and paid £24 for 4 bulbs and it passes. That wouldn't happen in Northern Ireland. You fail automatically and if you want a retest you have to book that.

  6. "Our Terry's on his way. ..left " Penzance 2 hours ago , expected to arrive at Rainham inspection centre at around 1 am this morning all been well ,its a 5 and a half hour drive ,"Every time DJ Audits says 'I've hidden the keyring', Terry grabs his car keys like Batman answering the signal." 🤣🤣"Auntie Jean has started knitting lucky keyring-hunting socks for him."🤣🤣🤣

  7. TfL has a tens of millions of pounds deal with a private company to run their inspection centres? And London require Uber drivers to have a London specific license only available at those centres?
I think someone should look into Sadiq's relationship with this company and its directors, and whether his family members have any involvement either. Seems like a daft business arrangement.

  8. Coincidentally, I recently read a news article about why Wolverhampton is popular for taxi registrations. Full disclosure; the following is an AI summary:

Wolverhampton City Council became a popular choice for several reasons:

    • Lower licensing fees than many other councils, particularly compared to London boroughs and Transport for London
    • Faster processing times and shorter waiting lists for tests and approvals
    • Less demanding knowledge/topographical tests, since the council only needs to assess general competence rather than detailed local-area knowledge (since the driver may never actually work in Wolverhampton)

As a result, thousands of drivers — including many working exclusively in London for Uber and similar platforms — ended up licensed through Wolverhampton rather than their local authority. This drew criticism from London boroughs and TfL, who argued it undermined their own (often stricter) safety and vehicle standards, and it prompted government consultations on tightening the rules around “out of area” licensing.

    (The above from Claude AI)

    Apparently, reforms are under discussion.

  9. 10:00 DJ: “I’m just making a little YouTube video”.

    Woman: “For what reason”?

I think the response should always be, “To put a video on YouTube”.

  11. Ive got ubers and it says some guy is coming and its a female wtf is with that? They are clearly getting an uber account and getting someone else to do it. Also the app which is the best wont let you work outside of a certain radius cos they think its not worth it and will take to long. Silicon valley for ya.
