You’re hanging back pretty far off the bike. Start more centered (chin over stem, waist over bottom bracket) and stand taller as you ride up the ramp. You’ll be much more controlled and boost higher.

  2. First up, your jump is not helping you learn.

You don’t have a proper transition into the lip, just a change of direction and a flat takeoff. This means the form you need to be practicing will be very difficult to achieve.

Can you smooth the transition into the ramp any more? Looks pretty abrupt which will be hampering you.

Or just build a proper dirt takeoff and practice on that.

  3. Terrible jump (not you, but the physical structure). The landing is way too close, even with your passive jumping you’re overjumping it. Your body is decently positioned but this is what they call “passenger mode” – you’re not really jumping but letting the bike roll and compensating your balance, which is good enough for this jump or tabletops, but not enough for doubles.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to progress any further with this jump. If you put any sort of strength on actual jumping instead of just letting the bike do its thing, you’ll overshoot badly and have a terrible landing. You’ve been warned!

Find a nice long tabletop you can practise on so you can land flat while you can’t make it, then transition into trying the proper landing.

It’s more like a drop than a jump, you basically just rode off something to flat.

Just jump more. Don’t ask reddit none of these dorks are qualified to give any advice.

  6. You were very much in the backseat during takeoff, which will make your front wheel will already be going downwards before your weighted-rear wheel is off the ramp, making you land nose-heavy. Keep your weight above your feet on takeoff, and move back only when the rear wheel is in the air

  7. you arent really jumping but more launching of a ramp.
While this works on a jump like this any bigger jump or a jump with more of a transition this method is going to send you into a dead sailor and possibly over the bars.

Bro you hit wedge ramp and landed on flat ground. There’s nothing to evaluate here.

  9. Id lower you saddle and shift your weight back in the air a smidge by bending your legs. Your landing was very good, so be sure to keep a little focus on planting both wheels down together.
