Hi everyone, I just bought a 24’ Heckler SL C last week with super low milage. I bought not knowing the hate Fazua gets for reliability and it was slightly used so no warranty… my thought is replace motor or battery once and the second time it goes out buy a new frameset with TQ or Bosch. Anyone have input on if that’s smart or dumb. I also paid $4500 and I’ll show the bike beneath with specs to see if that’s worth.

Bit late to be asking now since you already bought it.

Get out and ride the thing, worry about any issues when they happen. If you worry about “what ifs” all the time you wouldn’t do anything in life.

  2. My uncle has the same bike and loves it. No issues with the motor has a ton of miles on it. Just ride it.

I would say it’s not the motor but the people who don’t service anything. My friend destroyed an ep8 on his heckler because of 0 maintenance. Just maintain your bike and you will be fine.

My bigger concern would be that Fazua no longer exists, Porsche closed them down. Fazua bikes are going super cheap where I live as everyone is avoiding them now.

Yes. Fazua ceased operations so unless there is a big stock of parts somewhere there won’t be a motor or battery to buy.

Actually I have a friend whose heckler sl motor grenaded yesterday.

You bought an e-bike so – yes. If you are as confident riding as you are about your purchase, I hope you aren’t on my local trails.

I don’t know anything about e-bikes/motors, but the bike looks sick bro 🔥

  8. By keeping those orange pedals?! Definitely!! Lol, looks like a sweet rig good luck Rubber side down👍🏼🔥🤘🏼

For what you paid you did great and it’ll serve you well, It’s a super fun bike. I had to warranty my motor once but it was pretty quick and I haven’t had any issues with the v4 motor. If you haven’t already the latest firmware somehow made my motor significantly quieter.

As a point of reference I test road a yeti mte a few weeks back and it was less powerful, less playful and louder. The yeti rear end is a lot smoother and the bike overall is more refined but it’s not a fun bike.

Another point of reference I passed a guy on a shresh SL with the tq motor. The shresh is more similar to the heckler but maybe a bit more enduro.

  10. You didn’t – Nice bike, now go ride the heck out of it, when you break something replace/upgrade. Plenty of bike to have fun on, and UDH makes it future proof.
