Its a nice bike but it is overpriced. I would pay $550max and $550 is little overpriced but i like the bike so thats just me. Make him offer.

The Zipp wheels are worth ~$400 if the brake track is in good shape (light mear and owner used the correct pads).
The SRAM Red groupset is older, but still highly desireable. ~$3-400. Its among the lightest modern group ever made, so they get lots of use on weight weenie or hill climb bikes.
