I recently upgraded to both Aeroad and latest Endurace sharing the same CP0048 cockpit, but since I'm into long distance riding, riding at night is often a must. I was struggling as many of you here about light mounting options, so I jerry rigged something like this, here was my goals:

  • GoPro mounting seems to be a standard
  • since it's mounted on carbon part I didn't wanted to have a leverage pressing on carbon, so less of the hangs is better
  • not have it touch the frame on lock-to-lock steering situations

My approach went with:

  • K-Edge top cap to GoPro adapter which happens to have a slimmer part on the bottom which more or less corresponds to flat part on the bottom of the cockpit
  • M6x16mm screw to share the same carbon threaded insert in the cockpit that aero bars are mounted into
  • Magicshine EVO 1700 PRO which is quite short and balanced in weight, so there shouldn't be much torque on the mount
  • Ikea Fixa felt pad to not scratch the carbon

I was aware about Lupine's adapter, but I didn't like the offset and possible torque that it is inducing on the mount.

I'll let you know how it will work long term. 🙂

  1. You genius do know you can attach a light under your computer mount? And your “felt pad” also damages carbon, it acts like sanding paper.

I’ve got an Exposure Joystick for longer rides at night, and a Ravemen FR300 on the garmin mount for general use.

The Joystick has a plastic/rubber universal mount that fits the cockpit pretty much perfectly

  3. Wait, what. Did you drill a hole in your integrated cockpit to attach gopro mount?
