As anyone who watches my videos will know that I love all the bikes I have. I am lucky enough to ride lots of different bikes and so it shouldn’t really be a surprise that the ones I have bought have something exceptional about them that fills a need. Of course there are no real bad bikes, just some that suit us better than others, whether its budget, purpose, or simply looks.

However, I am not getting any younger and as we get older we want to make the most of life. For me this includes trying new bikes. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to keep all the bikes that I buy and therefore if I want a new one, one has to go.

The question is, which will it be when all the bikes I own give me something that others don’t.

In this video we look at the bikes I have and a few others as we wonder round Orwell Motorcycles showroom. In addition I introduce an old bike I have bought cheap in the hope of getting it back on the road.

  1. I think a Guzzi, v100 or v85tt with the bear or t100 or both gone. I can predict it won't be a Grom though. I was in Lings of Harleston and weatherlys , love the 901 Norden but just can't commit to buying one, a 950 ktm appeals though…

  2. Never test ridden a bike in all these years. My test ride is on the way home after handing over the folding. I really don't understand the term "keeper". That's unless it's actually a financial investment.

  3. the grass is always greener on the other side , i have many bikes i do not ride ;; i always think each new one i buy is THE ONE ,, this is of course not the case — but is just the way the state of mind works at the time ,,,, in a few years time when we are gone — it won't matter jack sh--t to anyone what we have done ,,, so an intelligent man like yourself is holding back your needless spend , – but still want's the next best thing ,, you are not alone buy any means – so laugh it off and do what you can to fulfill your life without hurting anyone ….. anybody who thinks different – take a good long look at yourself ;; ignore the line through – my keyboard does this ;;

  4. Sounds like either the T100 or the Suzuki is a goner. Which one, I'd imagine, depends on what's incoming. GSX for a BMW GS? Bonneville for a Moto Guzzi V7 or, dare I say, some sort of cruiser? IDK

  5. At almost 73 my attitude is too many bikes to try and do little time. Out of the five bikes I have at least one or two may be moved for another machine every year or two.

I too have a similar bike to your Royal Enfield, 2017 Royal Enfield Classic Chrome 500. I've had my Thruxton R for ten years and counting and just refurbished it a bit. Ive only got 4000 miles on my 2025 T120.

I think the next bike to go maybe my 2023 Tiger 900 GT Pro because my 2025 Tiger 800 Sport is almost as good at solo tourer as the Tiger 900 but a bit sporter and significantly lighter.

I'm interested in the BMW R12S to take the Tiger 900s spot or possibly acquiring a cherry classic Suzuki or Honda.

Honestly I probably should be down to two bikes but I guess that is why they have estate sales to sell off our stuff when we go.😁😁

  6. Definitely see your reasons, as I have a mint gsxr1000 k6 ,and it's done 800 miles between MOT ,my just purchased suzuki DL650 vstrom has done 350 miles in two weeks 😀,,first bike with heated grips as I'm 60 now ,,from Northern Ireland biggest respect 🙏

  7. That 10 year old blue and chrome W800 is bloody stunning! My money is on that one in at the expense of T100. I was never a fan of Buddy Holly (sorry Taym) but more to the point: you love the Thruxton more, and a bike that cannot quite live up to your memory of it is a sad thing. Like eating something from when you were young and you want to like it, but you also have to admit it is not the same.

  8. I have just called the police, they suggested calling the hospital, the hospital put me through to the psychiatric ward after which I explained he was thinking about selling one of his motorcycles. They said they would help him if there is no monday mutter , I apologise in advance

  9. Trade in the Suzuki, for a new bike that you want( Kle 500) it’s different to the other bikes you have , do the Yamaha up and make some profit on selling that then got a custom job done on the t100 to make it better get cans, power commander and a few other select tweeks done !

  10. Have you ever owned a Ducati? I’m considering a Ducati Supersport 950 S in addition to my Triumph Scrambler 900. I like the look of a sports bike but appreciate a bit more comfort!

  11. I'd be leaning towards the Susuki, mostly because I am not partial to Sports bikes, but you need to make your own decision. I would struggle selling any of my 4 bikes, they each bring their own style of pleasure to riding! Good luck! Hopefully no regrets!😅

  12. I think the Suzuki goes away. I can't see Bertie, Peggy Sue or The Bike With No Name going anywhere. The Bear got you through the winter but still seems to be your daily rider. The new bike? …. sure to be mahvelous!

  13. The Suzuki is going that's for sure, simply because it's done it's job. Ruling out an out and out sports bike, the only genre you've not got covered is a dirt bike. Then that opens a can of worms.
I have 5 bikes which is ridiculous and it's a financial and logistical nighmare. Every month something needs to be attended to. Took one for a service the other day and turns out they have to keep it awaiting a new fork and seal.
Honestly, just coming home to less bikes, being able to walk through the garage easily was a real weight of my mind. If they rang me today and offered to take it off my hands I think I'd accept and keep the money until I found that I needed a bike that I really needed. The problem I've found, because theyre all different genres is WHICH ONE to dispose of as, like you, i ride them all depending on my mood and where I'm going. To town? Honda Monkey. Ireland? Bmw 1250 rs 😂

  14. Know exactly what you mean, I'm not getting any younger and would like to try more bikes before It's to late. I recon you are letting the 8R go for an Aprilia Tuono V4 just because that's what I would like 😂👍
