This was my first road bike, I was going to sell it because I got an e-bike recently but actually still enjoy riding this thing.. entry level but this bike got me into cycling.
Also have been thinking about upgrading, should I get new parts like wheels etc or upgrade for a new road bike?

I’m planning to do the opposite. I recently got an e bike but do miss regular biking. Once I build up leg strength (and my wallet back up) I’m going to get a road bike. I did many miles on a bike path on my old hybrid like 5 years ago, a road bike will be better for sinking in some nice long rides.
I have absolutely zero interest in riding a ln ebike, so this is a problem I will hopefully never have.
I do occasionally ride my motorcycle though.
I commute on my ebike 80-100mi per week, then pedal my regular* bikes for fun on the weekend.
*my 30yo highracer recumbent is not exactly a regular bike, but it doesn’t have a motor
why the hell would you replace normal bike riding with ebiking
or you could re-do it as something different…
I turned my Bianchi into a graveler.
I would consider an e-bike if I had a bike-able commute, which I don’t, and fitness is a major driver for cycling so there’s no need for one.
I’m 66. I’ll only get an eBike when I’m old.
✅
Road bike for fitness. E-bike for grocery shopping, hitting the gym and local bars/eateries.
I refuse to ride an e-bike. I just got a new gravel bike. My bike is extension of my body at this point.
100%. Latest purchase, a vintage trek domane. Previously have logged many miles on a focus thron 2.
I used to ride my road bike to work, then transitioned to an e bike, and am now transitioning back to the road bike haha. It’s just more engaging and emotionally fulfilling. And my commute isn’t too long at 8.5 miles either.
I did an hour on the road bike this morning for exercise, then took the ebike to run errands this afternoon. Road bike is way more fun and you feel accomplished going 28 mph.
No, I have a gravel bike 2 mountain bikes and an e-mountain bike, I’m to young to only ride the ebike and enjoy a good slog on an analog bike, I also love going exploring new places or doing laps on the ebike,
My eBike is usually for local errands and visitors. I’d rather ride my road bike.
I bought an acoustic After buying an ebike. I forgot how much I enjoy it.
Ebike for commuting acoustic bike for pleasure and fitness rides
I ride an eBike at the moment.
Allows me to keep up with the group ride once a week.
I still have hopes of regaining enough fitness to ride my touring bike.
Meanwhile I try and cut down the level of assist and make my legs work for a living.
I go both ways.
Bike looks great btw
You lost me at “getting an e bike”
I use my e-bike to drop off or pick up my daughter from day care and when we go out in the weekend and when in need to do shopping etc.
I use my Felt F95 for everything else.
Yes. Last time I did though I fucked up my knees. Gotta figure that out ☹️
I’m totally fine with the fact that mopeds are electric now.
I refuse to buy a E-Bike, it’s bad for the planet. Besides, i bought a bike for fitness and riding, not just riding.
