There are hundreds of miles of gravel there surrounding a lake with 75 miles of shoreline (Harlan County Reservoir). There are numerous campgrounds including a large, modern one with a paved 4 mile lakeside bike trail that connects to Alma, Nebraska. Alma is a small town (1200 people) with hotels, restaurants, bars, grocery store, banks, pharmacy, hospital, movie theater, bike shop, etc. Pretty great cycling destination for a gravel grinder!
