I rocked and rolled and walked and rode 370kms through some of the pretty countryside of the lower mid-north coast of NSW. I took my time, had a few rest days and averaged 46kms per day, which I thought was OK for an old fart. It reminded me of what I like about bike touring, and I'm now certain to ride the rail trails of SE QLD and then back home to the central coast of NSW later this year. It reinforced that my trip needs to be without camping gear, and I need to loose a few kilograms to make the climbs easier. It'll probably take about 6 weeks for 1400kms, and the effects of the forecast of El Nino may cause it to be brought further forward.
The traffic was accommodating in most cases, and I met some interesting people along the way. My only mechanical was when the cassette shat itself ~150kms from home. Fortunately I had a tool to tighten the lockring so that I could limp home. I checked it today, and it had loosened to just finger tight, but I'm home, so it was easily fixed.

You’ve got to ride the ferry, but sometimes it’s not operational due to maintenance, so it’s necessary to check before riding to Bombah Point.
Good job mate.
Every day is an adventure when you have dementia, right? Bad jokes aside, well done. May the wind be always on your back.
