Hi I bought my c line around august of last year to commute to and from work along with general travel. I estimate I've put around 3000-3500km on it since and as I was cleaning the drive train today I noticed that there is a wiggle in the rear hub. I think it's way too much play but I don't have any real experience with such a rear hub so I wanted to ask.

Here is the video (sorry it's a short, I had no control over that) https://youtube.com/shorts/bT9kW5VZgUQ

You'll notice the wheel is on tight and it was just torqued to the 18Nm as per the instruction manual, but there is still back and forth wobble and it's hard to see on video but the dork disc and cassette seemed to be moving slightly differently to the hub itself.

My question is, what is wrong with the hub if anything? Also how difficult would it be to fix. Also has anyone else experienced this? Thanks for any help given.

EDIT: In case the comments are deleted for whatever reason, the issue was that the cone nuts were not tight enough causing the wiggle. You can adjust the non-drive side cone nuts without taking the cassette off and according to the commenter it's better to do that to avoid making the internal hub more noisy. The nuts were both 17mm

  1. If you grab the rim, near the brake pads, and push the rim towards one pad then the other; does the wheel move? if yes then I would recommend you to snug the cone nut to take out the play in the wheel bearings; not to tight or the wheel won’t coast as long and create some drag.
