  1. Most ghost bikes I’ve seen are usually BSO spray painted white. This looks too nice and coordinated to be one.

The tires, pedals, and bar tape are all white. There is no spray paint on the stem, headset, or the bars. This bike was purchased with a white theme. It was probably one of those cheap Chinese fixie bikes from Amazon. I don’t think this was a “white bike”.

  3. Even if it isn’t a stolen ghost bike (the chrome isn’t painted over) it still seems like bad luck to ride that. No thanks.

  4. Industrial design students I went to school with around 2010 all wanted to build fixes that look like this. They basically thought everything should look like an iPod.

Most ghost bikes wouldn’t have the silver bits still in silver.. so probably a build by someone who didn’t realize that all white bikes hold a particular significance.

Doesn’t look spray painted to me. Not a look I would go for but probably just didn’t know the significance and likes white.

Mate, if that was actually a ghost bike someone would’ve nicked it long ago, and the description saying the chain’s rusty but everything else is pristine white doesn’t add up anyway.

Grime on the handlebar tops and on the contact patch of the tire makes me think this was ridden by an IRL fleshbag at some point

I remember someone on r/fixie was building an all white bike like this and everyone in the comments was like “DONT YOU DARE THAT IS SO DISRESPECTFUL”. The guy had no clue why. Haha.

  10. I’m having a difficult time imagining this bike was ever used regularly, OP. Look at the wheel rims where the brake pads run. No way any white paint survives on those unless the rider never touched their front brake. Maybe this was an art project if it wasn’t a ghost bike.

Honestly I would’ve said so BUT the guy used the word saddle in the description and only someone who actually knows about bikes would say saddle. Ain’t no junkie gonna say saddle lmao

  12. Color-coordinated kooks. Used to have a customer who would only order things that were green and then return them if they weren’t the exact shade of green. White was always the funniest, though.. “White, huh? Well I hope your second favorite color is brown”

I see these all over Napa and Sonoma to memorize cyclists that have been hit by cars .

That’s a collector’s item there! I believe that was David dukes bicycle but he had to give it up because top tube step over and lack of chain guard kept making it too difficult to ride in his robes
