16 of the top riders in Europe were at Southampton CSC for this years Nathan Harris Memorial Southampton GP. Travelling from Poland were Torun Riders Kosma Syrkowski and Dawid Bas, both in peak form at the moment, and from the Ostrow Club is Pawel Szkludarek, one of the best riders in the World. Last years winner, Ben Mould (Birmingham) returns to defend his title along with team mate Chris Timms who was runner up in last years British Individual Championship on this very circuit. Edan Morton makes the long journey down from Sheffield, while Ash Hill & James Porter represent the Ipswich Eagles. Also travelling from the Ipswich area is Great Blakenham’s World Champion Lewis Brinkoff. Winning that title last year has transformed Lewis into a prolific performer on the Cycle Speedway scene and will be the one to beat today!! His team mate and rival Noah Woodhouse has the power from the start equivalent to F1 car, lightning reactions and rarely beaten into the 1st corner. Twice British Champ Mark Boaler, although now recognised as a veteran, is still a force to be reckoned with along with just out of retirement Torsten Jolly (Great Blakenham). Southampton have 4 of their riders competing, Tom and Bob Colling, Fez Langoo and fast starting Leon Penketh. Let the racing commence….

Terrific event – some very spicy heats in the second half. Congrats to Lizzie Rigley and Laura Watson for winning the Euro Pairs Trophy.
These were fun to watch. I wanna try it.
I'm interested in why they're using a yellow flag to signal the final lap instead of the traditional white one.
