after a deep dive into chain wear and 2 vs 3 point chain wear indicators (see my last post in /bikewrench) i have stumbled upon this particular model. unlike the other product from cyclus (the one in zerofriction's video, which has 2 prongs, leading to false readings because of roller wear) this one has 3 points of contact, thus eliminating roller wear and only measuring chain elongation.
has anybody had any experience with this particular model?

bike discount claims this model accurately measures chain elongation regardless of roller diameter and roller wear.
if it actually works relieably, it would be a good alternative to the park tool 4.2 since it tells you how worn the chain is before reaching 0,5% elongation. So rather than a purely GO/NOGO decision you actually know in advance, how close to the end of it’s liefespan you are.
