The GridIron is a cycling event organised by CTC Wessex every October and this year celebrated its 30th anniversary in style with a day of unseasonal sunshine!
I rode the 100km option, which with a ride to and from the start totalled just under 100 miles.
Join me on my bike to see what this ride offers and find out whether I managed to see any pigs!
For some tips on how I train for long distance and ultra cycling events see my video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiStVaWuk0k

A lovely day out with lots of sunshine
Sunshine, cake, biscuits, pigs and oh yes some fantastic cycling
Nice video. Amazed that you didn’t see any pigs until near Mockbeggar, for us they were everywhere around Furzley way, but later in the day.
Captured the mood of the day really nicely, 🎩
I saw shit loads of pigs in the NF on the Saturday morning when you came out to wave us on. Funny thing is I kept seeing pigs and then every now and again I could smell bacon. Such a strange morning.
It was my 7th gridiron…….always great looking for the forests big 5, Horse, Donkey, Cow, Pig and Deer. Just the 4 this year as no sighting of the 🦌. Great vlog
