It’s good for me bacause I carry a lot of stuffs. However, if the road is wet it will get dirty fast even with fenders. And also the rain. But if you’re lucky and don’t usually experience that issues it might be good for you. Take a try and feel whats better!

  2. Hmm, this seems tough since they are connected. you could maybe try to just get a buckle strap that closes into a loop and just thread it under the part where they attach but that sounds unstable. would be the easiest thing i can think of

  3. Well, just leave the panniers on all the time. That how I do it.

Then I throw my whole normal backpack/briefcase to work in the pannier bag haha. A bag with straps inside a fixed bag.

Don’t bother, it is too much hassle removing and attaching panniers everytime you park the bike. Way easier to just secure the panniers with metal zipties to your rack and leave them there permamently, then just use a normal bag to carry stuff.

You can even “vandalize” the panniers yourself to make them less appealing to thieves by smearing paint all over them.
