  1. Very nice build.

    Two things that i’d change:

    1. while i appreciate the effort of color matching anodized parts, this build would benefit from a second contrasting color. For example red. the green parts just drown in the green frame.
    2. The stem shifter is neatly positioned but seems to be a basic bikeboom era one. I’d upgrade that to a simplex stepless clutch one or one with a microratchet clutch like suntour, diacompe, rivendell, sachs-huret, microshift, etc. They are just so much better in use and feel that it is worth it even at the asking price of a rivendell one.

  2. Ah I’ve always had a soft spot for a Saracen. In the 90s I worked in a bike shop for a year or two and there was a dark green metallic Saracen -kili flyer, maybe?- on the shop floor that I coveted, but everyone ignored, and it never sold. Cromoly, light, discreet, nice detailing on the frame. I still wish I’d made a deal to buy it when I left…

Edit- it was a kili team, with a really elegant monostay

  3. Nice job!!! Also loved what you did to keep the bike standing for the picture! Hahaha
