She’s back! Kate test rides the H2SXSE+ in the latest episode of Radio Kate!
Will she like it?

I had to ride it from Bedford to Cardiff because I got a flat tyre from a cracked wheel on my car and had no choice but to brave the rain for 4 hours! As a result, the H2 was in Cardiff, so was Kate, the weather stayed ok, so she took it for a spin!

  1. Ash, you see the up and down arrow right next to the heated grips control button? You long-press up or down buttons with the throttle/gaz grip released, and it will switch to another riding mode, in that order: Sport (top most), Road, Rain, Rider (bottom).
So to from Sport to Road: "Down button"' for about two seconds, release, tadaaa!
    Cheers.

  2. Very well done. Great seeing Kate, Ash, Suki and Sandra! The entire vid is absolute fun with the commentary, hide n seek, the sights and bike evaluation. Smashing episode!

  3. What a great vid, oddly enough similar weather here in Ireland!!! Kate made some valid comments about the H2, I have fairly recently moved from a Suzuki V-Strom 650 to a Kawasaki Versys 1000 and struggled with the Kawasaki gearbox for the first couple of weeks, same reason, was convinced of another gear. Roll on, next Sunday and the next Vid…

  4. Always great to see you mate, but Kate stole the show. lol.
You two should do a bike tour or something, like the NC500.
Also nice to see you get some sponsorship plugs.
Well done mate, can’t wait for the next adventure.

  5. Well what a great job Kate did on reviewing the H2, she did an amazing job, Ash get this girl on your channel more she's a lot better looking then you😂seriously i would really like to see you both do more bike reviews as i think would be a great idea, and this video was a pleasure to watch, i hope your both well, ride safe and take care👍

  6. Hilarious video thanks Ash and another facet to your YouTube repertoire.
How does Kate come up with all those funny quips so quickly? Her mind must run as quick as the H2 SX HE+.
You both make a great team and thank you for entertaining us.

  7. It's funny that Kate seems to think the Ninja needs another gear. I thought the same of my old SV mk1, I always thought it needed a taller top gear or a 7th. Still the most fun I ever had on a bike.

  8. My wife loves being on the back of my bikes ('95 FJ1200 & '58 CB1300), but she doesn't ride herself. It must be great both going on trips together on 2 bikes connected by voice. You have a great, fun other half Ash.

  9. Hi Ash and Kate. That was just great you guys.
You two are a hoot, especially you Kate 😂
I wish I could have a go on that magnificent H2 too 😁
    Take care and safe riding..
The new logo looks awesome too Ash.
    Regards
    Tony 👍

  10. The sv650 is a great little bike for anyone to be fair….I can see how the gf likes it…..I've often thought of getting one for just nipping oht and about on but having 2 bikes is a kind of hassle…..you end up one one more tghan the other

  11. Like the young Sean the passer-by at the end, I too have always lusted after a Sandra, but daily driving a "little" Z1000sx (exact same panniers btw) for three years now, my initial puppy love for the H2 has gone flat. My Z1000sx goes through consumables like they're going out of fashion, and my last garage bill was EUR 2100,- (tires, brake discs & pads, chain, fluids, test ride).

  12. She is a live wire, that is for sure.
I wouldn't mind a go on that bike. Never likely to ever ride anything like that. I have had some mega quick bikes for their day. But we are talking eighties. And my Speed Triple wasn't slow. Even quicker with 955 in it.
I sympathise with Kate and the bike fit. Being only 5ft 8 I don't like tall bikes. And I guarantee my hands won't be any larger than hers. Wide span levers are a pain, but over decades I suppose I got used to them. Extra hand strength probably helps.
Perhaps Kate should pick a restoration project as her next bike. Something she would like as the new daily rider.

  13. My God that girl has some balls, well done Kate (terminkater).
BTW what happened to the Triumph you bought her?
The next bike you do needs to be a Kate bike, bit she needs to choose it with some help from you. To be fair you are going to struggle to improve on how well the SV shut her needs…….. what about an MT07 with the front suspension sorted out?

  14. True motorcyclist hero…. not only paying close attention to his own ride, but looking at traffic behind that might impact his lady/riding companion… for young riders: this is how it's done 🙏🫶🏻

  15. It's nice that you have a tracking sponsor now but to say that this device would stop bike theft in the UK is a joke.
Thieves are always one step ahead:

Thieves in the UK combat hidden motorcycle tracking devices primarily by using signal jammers, "cooling off" stashing tactics, and rapid stripping or scanning. Because trackers have become a standard security measure, organized theft gangs have adapted their methods to bypass or neutralize both GPS and cellular signals…
