This Santa Cruz Bronson is the most modern bike I own by a long shot. I have typically done all my own work since forever but I doubt I have what’s needed for this Chris King bottom bracket. This side to side play appeared mid ride with no noises along with it. Any thoughts?

See the plastic collar between the crank and the green bottom bracket? That’s your preload collar. It’ll have a little pinch bolt somewhere on it. Loosen that off so you can turn it. And turn it clockwise until it hits the bottom bracket. Don’t do it tight. Just snug. Then tighten the tiny pinch bolt again. It helps if you give the other side a little whack with a soft mallet or something first, just to make sure it’s all the way over.
