    I think it’s done, but I would try anyway.

    I’d probably start with Obenauf’s top and bottom every couple days until it’s not sucking it all in between applications. Then give it a good couple weeks to sit and then reinspect and make a plan from there.

    I’d give it a thick coat of leather fat (or something more similar to Proofide). Then, when it soaked everything up and got flexible enough to bend without ripping, bind it with a string to bring back the original form. Add another coat of fat, then wait and repeat. 

    Did that to my grandfathers, which was in similar condition. Gave it another life.
