Hey, i just started cycling this year 3 months ago. Bought a bike and started to do indoor rides and when weather got better i started to do outdoor rides too. My longest indoor session was 100km in 3hours. 2 weeks ago i did my longest outdoor ride 90km in a 2h 44min (elapsed time was 2:47h) yesterday i did my first event 210km ride in a 6h 37min (elapsed time 6:59h) it was big hop on the distance but i felt pretty good and everything went like i was hoping to. I have 2year running background so i already had decent aerobic. I am very happy about this progress and yesterdays performance. It was rainy day and a lot of wind, weather made things little bit harder but i managed to enjoy my time on the first event and it really paid off. Couldnt be happier now!

That distance at that speed at that elevation at that heart rate is pretty impressive !
that’s a solid jump from 90km to 210km in two weeks. most people would either bonk hard or play it way safer on their first event, so holding 31.9 km/h average on that terrain with rain and wind is the real flex here. the running background shows up in your metrics, your heart rate stayed reasonable and you didn’t blow up halfway through, which is half the battle when you’re that new to cycling and suddenly commit to a century-plus effort. the fact that you felt good doing it means you probably have way more gas in the tank for next time, so you’re gonna keep improving fast if you keep this up.
Did you have background in another sport before taking up cycling? That 210km ride with that elevation and average speed is crazy impressive for someone that’s been riding 3 months
You’re a beast, I’ve been cycling for 3 years I can do those kind of distances but won’t average a speed superior at 25kph
