Included the first two sections of the route plan.

Looking for some nice gravel and nature mainly, with wild camping when possible. First part of the route im excited about. It goes through the Eifel and looks very promising. Then I have Vogezen (Vosges) and i can choose to go through the southpart of Schwarzwald or more west in the Colmar area. Not super familiar. Same with the route through Switzerland.

  1. I’m currently cycling Maastricht to Geneva. Mainly road that I’m doing. But can for sure recommend the Vennbahn for the first bit maybe. Right now im near Colmar and it’s really beautiful. For sure gravel possibility here, although wildcamping is not thaaat easy. Vogese wildcamping should be fine as it is nice and foresty in areas. Good luck!

  2. An easy route from Aachen would be the Vennbahn. I would suggest following it to Monschau (it’s worth visiting) and from there follow gravel trails through Eiffel.

Maybe you could also cycle through Pfälzerwald and its french counterpart. I haven’t been there but it looks intriguing.

Eurovelo 5 through Alsace is beautiful, one of the best routes in Europe. Though it’s not that much gravel either, mostly paved paths through vineyards.
