This was a indoor mini crit race in a 1v1 format. This situation is in the semifinal and its the last lap. (I’m in the front) Felt like I shut the corner sufficiently but the other guy still tried to go for it. He went on to stand up first, make it to the finish line and also win the whole race – kudos to him, he is fast but imo just doesn’t know how to race fairly.
Would u have DQ him for this move or is it just part of racing these events where there is not a lot of space? Please voice ur opinions:)

He rode like a knobhead, but DQing him wouldn’t be the right call imo. If this were systematic behaviour and he would crash out his opponent multiple times it would be justified.
Thats just racing. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose.
Idk. In road racing this is dive bombing a corner. You are ahead so you have a right to the line. I’d be pissed. It might not be intentional, but it is wrong.
Having said that, idk how serious any of this is lol. Road racing is a different game and lines matter a lot more in a peloton of 180 riders.
He was behind and it was lasy lap. To me it looks like he done that on purouse. He expected the ctash, so he get up much faster.

Looking at it from a road racing pov, he wasn’t making the corner with that trajectory. Whether on purpose or due to a skill issue, idk, but he’s at fault 100%
Looks like a divebomb to me…guy clearly couldn’t have passed there and the only way this doesn’t end in a collision or crash is if the outside rider completely abandons the corner and lets them pass

Basically the whole the downside of fixed gear racing, fixed crits etc: it got too hip too quickly and thus attracted too many idiot who can’t ride a bike and are just attracted by the hipness.
That should be a DQ. Really stupid rider reading Windbreaker Manwha too much and think that crashing and clipping is cool.
Keep the sport tuff, shoving should be allowed like in Keirin racing
