What downturn? Go ride your bike with some friends. Break a part, buy from companies supporting the sport. Consume content from people doing what you like to do.

I stick to the local shops in my area. If they don’t have something they can always just order it direct from manufacturer. I rather support the little guys instead of all these massive websites and warehouses.

Love seeing Volt mentioned, shoutouts to John for holding it down for the locals. Mode bmx is sick too and the owner is very active here giving out tons of good advice.
I buy from Waller and Crucial regularly as well.

My local(ish) shop Dead Sailor down in Cornwall in the UK is still going strong. They just put on a two day jam last weekend as well which was fucking sick! Got a mini-mini ramp in the shop and are in the process of getting a skatepark built as part of it as well.

Accidentally stumbled into Alan’s up in Wigan, UK, last year and they were still kicking as expected, been around forever! Waller/Crucial/Volt/Dead Sailor/Custom Riders are all still about too, used them all over the last 10ish years
