Just picked this old GT race bike as a summer project for my daughter and I. Is anyone able to tell me more about it?

Edit: just noticed the neck. Single non-threaded? It’s screaming expert to me.

Cool bike. Cool parts, the fork is something as well. Not rare, but Cool. I always hated the piston stems, bu thats just me. It’s a bike that those who know will know.

It is indeed a ‘99 or 2000 Speed Series. (Expert size).

It’s got aftermarket Marzocchi Sinister forks. And for reason, a seat from a 2001 Diamondback Mr. lucky dirt jumper.
