So i bought this bike 10 months ago on a great deal and today when riding home from my trail I noticed something feels off and when i looked down it rocked back and forth where it shouldn't.. now im kind of lost if this should be able to happend and if this is a warranty case since its not even 1 years old.
Also i bought it quite far away so im not sure if i can just put in new bearings and screws on both sides and check all other screws to make sure theyre up to spec…
What do you guy think about this? Anyone has this happened to them?

Sorry this happened.
When did you check your bolts the last time?
I check them almost every ride just to be sure.
Sometimes they can become loose even with locktight and the right torque applied a while ago.
you’re supposed to maintain your bike. you lost the bolt that’s keeping the chainstays attached to the front triangle. Don’t ride the bike, go on Orbea’s website and find the model [https://www.orbea.com/en-int/catalog/spare-parts/type/bike](https://www.orbea.com/en-int/catalog/spare-parts/type/bike) and order the main pivot assembly, or go to an Orbea shop and have it ordered from them.
Your missing the lower linkage axel or the nut for the axel, hard to say without pictures from both sides. You can order a new one from your lbs. I had the same problem with my occam just a month back. I recommend to check the bolts of the linkage after every couple rides
Im Sorry, but this is in you!
This is the exact reason, why you are supposed to do boltchecks on a regular basis. Manufacturers usually state, that you should check the bike after every ride.
Why is this being downvoted. While commenters are right that its a maintenance error, this isn’t a reason to downvote. If anything, its a learning opportunity and should get more visibility.
Especially nowadays when full suspension and other such tech is hitting mainstream more and more and most regular people are just used to bikes being way more forgiving. Heck, most just ride their forks without ever doing anything for years just fine until its not.
Guys thanks for your inputs 😉 all i do ask if this shouldnt be something that should hold together safer? While i didnt check the specs recently i wouldve noticed if the scre was halfway unscrewed
Yeah, it sucks. Mine comes loose after every 1-3 rides. Bike rocks besides that. I would walk the trail back and see if I could find it
People are trying to tell you that it’s your fault – I’ve never heard of another bike or brand doing this.
Oiz are known for doing this. It’s a thing, people have complained about it for years, and Orbea has been known to warranty bikes over it.
Yes, checking your bolts is important. But this is a known issue for the model of bike you have.
Ring the shop or email the distributor. They might swap it or they might say you should have checked the bolts more often.
Was it user error? Maybe, maybe not. You won’t be the first or last person to lost a bolt while riding.
I own a yeti. This happens at the bike park.
A dot of white paint/ fingernail polish on the frame and on the bolt will let you visually see when the bolts are backing out. If they are not lined up, it is unscrewing.
It happens to my derailure bolt as well, so it is not just bike frames that this happens to.
I understand the perspective that it could be a maintenance issue. However, it could also be indicative of some defect or something out of spec. If it’s missing after 10 rides it’s prob loose after a few.
How long are these rides? If I’m racing 100km, 100mi, or24hr, I shouldn’t have to torque check mid race.
