After a long while I finally found a 1950s 100mm length GB hiduminium spearpoint stem and GB Ventoux handlebars with engraving! It’ll need a good clean to remove the old handlebar tape residue and a polish.
Love the stem and bars, but that wallpaper is beautiful!

I’ve never had good luck getting all the residue off, I usually end up just leaving it since it will be covered up with tape. You can try Goo-Gone or a similar product. Acetone might also work.

Some terpentine on an old rag will get the glue residue off.

LPT: Naphtha (lighter fluid) will take off even dried-hard handlebar tape. So will Citra-solv, but it’s harder to find.
