I love these old Bianchi SS mountain frames, and have neglected this SASS in favor of my BASS for far too long. Slapped on spare 27.5” wheelset converted to ss, titanium fork, Soma Gator bars, oldie XTR hydraulic brifters and calipers, and a Kooka crankset I had laying around.

Been there and done similar, just not with that level of spare frame. Be aware that a few years from now that will be finished with newer different parts. Got 19 bikes now, half were just thrown together with spare parts years ago…now quite well dressed out. You got the xbiking bug and there’s no cure.
On another note, if anyone has a Bianchi BUSS lying around to sell lmk. I’m looking to get that and add a Y to name it BUSSY.

I’ve got XT 4-pot calipers from that same year (1999?)… love that the calipers just bolt right up to the old ISO mounts without any extra adapters: perfect on frames and forks of this age.
This thing is just decorated with unicorn-level parts choices. Nice parts bin!
