If I send you a spring of the correct length to fill that gap, will you let us all know how it rides?

  2. was the frame already scrap? If not, this reads like you ruined a perfectly good frame due to impatience or laziness or both.

The trash frame would be perfect for testing out an idea I have, to replace most of the seat tube with seatpost. I know it sounds stupid, but it’s probably also a bad idea

  5. It’d been more logical to buy spacers off of Amazon or an actual aluminum tube at the store, but where’s the fun in that? Being resourceful with old, unwanted parts you’ve got lying around while being unconventional at the same time? Another case of peak xbiking we’ve got over here.

  6. I love it. You had spare tubing (incidentally in the shape of a frame) laying around and put it to good use 👌

Don’t worry when I did my barnacle build I had the same exact thing (and the same tires too lol)

  8. ‘The sacrifice was necessary’ said the bike cultist after the bloody deed. 🤣🤣🤣
