A guy at work went to a Monster Energy bmx show in Orlando months ago and got this bike from one of the riders. I am trying to figure out the value ( auto graphs aside- he doesn't know the names but said he has pics of them). The serial # looks to be TY23L000434- which I believe is 1979. I'm so out of the BMX loop at my age I need help figuring out if I should make him an offer on this. Any other info is welcome.

EDIT: Not a Torker. Thanks for all the insight.

  1. It’s a modern torker, but a cheap entry level model, so definitely not a vintage ‘79 bike!
As it stands as a bike you’d get maybe $100 tops for it, maybe to a monster energy fan and fan of whoever’s signed it a bit more, but not loads.
Edit – it’s not even a torker, so not sure why that’s in OP’s title, as other answers it’s a hyper, but that doesn’t change its value

  2. It has an unsealed bottom bracket so practically worthless for riding. Bearings blow up and metal shards get everywhere inside the BB.
That’s all I have to say. No idea on the value but not ideal for riding.

  3. Do not buy its junk it’s basically Walmart hyper with monster stickers nothing to do with torker 250$ on hypers website
