Almost the entire route corresponds to stage 3, except that I drove on a different road between Plovdiv and Pazardzhik (less cars) and also went around Borovets Pass on a different road (there is a big 600+ meter climb, which would have been too much for a 360 km ride)

What route did you take? I’m bikepacking across Europe this summer and will be going from Sofia to Plovdiv and onwards towards edirne. I’m worried about cars

That’s a serious grind. 360km at 27.6 average is no joke, especially with 2281m elevation. Did the Plovdiv detour add much distance or was it worth ditching the traffic? Curious if you’d tackle the full stage with Borovets or if that 600m climb stays on the nope list.
