  1. You’re derailleur is either broken of just set up wrong. Im going to lean towards broken.

    Idk much about bikes with hangers that aren’t built in, but there is usually a part the derailleur screw should engage BEFORE being tightened.

  3. The cage has rotated further than it should. There is a bolt or pin that keeps it from unwinding when not in tension. Either it was sort of pulled over that bolt or that bolt has fallen out. You can rewind that spring replace that bolt if it has fallen out. Let’s see some close up pictures of the back side of the derailleur.

  4. SOLVED. The cage had sprung past the stop on the derailleur. I took it apart and realized that and fixed it! Now to adjust everything THANK YOU ALL

    I think you somehow spun the derailleur arm clockwise.
    Try spinning it counter clockwise 1 turn then reinstall the chain. Maybe the stop for the arm is broken off

    Sometimes the Derailleur cage can get flipped around. You might just have to take the chain off, flip the cage back around to re tension the spring, and put the chain back on.
