Soo, yesterday i put a new BB un300 in my scott Boulder. It was a moment is was dreading bcs i knew the threads were not perfect anymore.
Anyways, the right side went in perfectly smooth, left side too! Until it didnt.

So at the last 5mm i really had to put a lot a lot of strength. Im sure its not cross threaded. So pretty sure its just hitting the part of thread that is too corroded to go in.

My question is; since the BB is in there, the cranks fit on the spindle, and it spins without noise and its centered.. Cant i leave it like this?
Or should i really go all the way, take it out and find someone to rethread my BB shell..

What do you think?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Ole

  1. It’s all good. The non drive side doesn’t have to be flush. Looks perfectly fine to me
