Based on others feedback I went the road Wheelset route and also have a gravel set (or two) as well. Will see how it works out this year.
Swapping bar/stem and then I’m done. Deciding between this Cannondale bar or the tavelo one piece with 20mm rise. Anyways my vision for a one bike solution is nearly complete. It’s not the best gravel bike and it’s not the fastest road bike but I think it’s 80 percent there in either discipline. Reserve 57/64 with conti gp5000 in the new 35mm.

That looks extremely nice. I’m going to be putting some 303 firecrests and 32mm GP5000s on my 2026 super x very soon.
This is what I’m doing as well. Cheap alloy wheels for rough gravel, and reserve 55/60(? Older version of 57/64) for road. Maybe I will get a nicer carbon for lighter gravel.
It works perfectly fine for gravel, but I definitely feel the limit on road when I’m riding with faster group. Even maxing out gearing and pushing the limit of my RPM comfort zone, I occasionally have a hard time getting the speed I need.
I kind want to change the chainring, but I’m afraid that may negatively impact on gravel.
I’ve been riding my 2021 superx as a road/gravel bike for years swapping wheelsets. It definitely is capable of doing it, and I could definitely keep it and be fine with one bike for both disciplines, but +1 is always the answer
This is the way.
Have you been able to get the break rotors on the different wheelsets close enough so you do not need to adjust calipers each time you swap wheels? I’ve found that’s the limiter on one bike solution. Take the time to get them aligned perfectly so you don’t have to waste time on every swap.
Gorgeous! This is pretty much my current dream bike! What wheels and tires/tire width are you running for gravel?
That looks very nice! Enjoy your rides on both gravel and road!
How do you know it’s not the fastest road bike? I’ve been using this bike on 48s, 40s, 34s, and 36s in CX and I have zero complaints. Yeah, lots of wheels over here.
