He also overtakes the ambulance on a double yellow lined bridge…? I winced when I saw the opening.

Ironic that that’s the first scene after the opening credits where Noah is on a motorcycle without a helmet. I realize it’s part of his character.
But yeah, would have been better to show a scuffed up helmet that protected the rider’s noggin, wouldn’t have effected the rest of his story while still giving the “wear a helmet” message.

Spoilers, but Dr. Robby not wearing a helmet while riding ends up being perceived by his staff and friends in the hospital as a sign that he is exhibiting reckless behavior. It is literally a visual indicator of his emotional instability and his lack of concern or value for his own life.

No spoilers, but yea, this is intentional.

I don’t watch tv, so I don’t know anything about this.
But looks like some sort of character flaw, and it’s being obviously pointed out.

Friend of mine got his heart from a motorcyclist that wasn’t wearing a helmet. Spent the rest of his life handing out organ donor pamphlets at motorcycle rallies.
I say make helmets optional, so long as you’re a donor.
Loved this season and Robbie’s character development.

Gosh. It’s like the writers are using a helmet as a way of telegraphing character information.

Everyone needs to consider the source>HBO>Warner Brothers Inc.(possibly) Skydance/Paramount.
Is anything produced under these corporations going to promote anything other than anti-bike related propaganda?
Turn the TV’s off, toss them in the trash, go for a ride.

congrats- you clocked one of the main messages they will be hammering into your brain this season haha

That part is a hard to swallow nugget. I cant think of an ED doc where i work who rides a motorcycle, some even think commuting by bicycle is too risky.

“You should always wear a helmet”… the motorcycle guy needs to hear that.
Always wear a helmet if you are riding.

Downvote me all you want….but this post is irrelevant.
What does a fictional tv show about motorcycle has to do with bicycle commuting?
…..It doesn’t…..
I had to double check I’m not on a motorcycle sub. (I ride motorcycle as well)
also, riding bicycle at 12-20mph is very different risk assessment than motorcycle going 40-100mph.
Not afraid to admit this—-there are a couple time when i don’t wear helmet on a bicycle. But I’ll be insane if I don’t wear riding gear on a motorcycle. ATGATT.
Unpopular opinion on this sub——both on a motorcycle or a bicycle, we should live and let live. What protective gear other wears (or lack off) isn’t our business. We all ride for different reason. What they wear doesn’t affect me.
