Bought a renewed Brompton back in December as my daily driver and relatively new to biking in general so I have very little knowledge, tools, and expertise. My Brompton as of late has had a click occur every rotation when I’m riding and just yesterday I found the pedal arm on the left loose and the bolt almost coming off (As imaged)

What exactly may be the issues? What tools could I buy to repair it myself? I have the Brompton Toolkit which afaik can’t help me right now

  1. Google pedal arm removal tool, there are videos that show how to remove or tighten your pedal arms.

Since you are new to biking, strongly suggest you seek a proper bicycle mechanic instead of trying this yourself. You can also learn and ask questions from the mechanics, get them to share you some tips when it comes to DIY repairs.

The rubber ring is missing on the crank bolt which keeps pressure tension on the crank arm. Without that it works loose. Cheap and easy to replace.
