I took my chain off recently to clean everything really well, and I replaced the quick link with a new quick link. Now, as you can see, the new quick link is sort of binding and won't straighten out when it comes out of its rotation.
Suggestions?

Check the back side. Probably not connected properly
Put oil or wax on the pins of the quick link before inserting in the chain ends. Recheck if both sides are fitted properly.
Is the new quick link the same speed as the chain (and the original) one? Quick links are reusable BTW, so why did you replace it?
Did you lube the chain yet ? Coule just be a bit stiff, I’d lube it and ride a bit.
Is that an 11 speed Shimano chain with a 12 speed quick link? If so, that’s your issue.
I don’t see any writing in the chain which leads me to believe it is indeed an 11 speed Shimano chain. Those only have writing on one side and that needs to be facing outward.
Your chain is installed wrong. Put it on so that the lettering on the chain is facing outwards (away from the bike).
This community rocks.
That is all
