Hi everyone. thought I’d ride out to have a look at the newly completed Yet Tiz trail in Leigh Woods, Abbots Leigh, Bristol. it’s just been reopened in March 2026 after a £200,000 investment. I’m no mountain bike expert but thought I’d film a POV, hope it might be of use to whoever watches it.

I’m riding my trusty old hard tail mountain bike, an Evans home brand, Pinnacle Jarrah something, it’s about 10 to 12 years old and has been a great bike

Yer Tiz Trail – 2026 Revamp (£200,000) – Forestry England & On Track Mountain Bike Trail Builders
The Yer Tiz mountain bike trail in Leigh Woods near Bristol first opened in 2011 as a blue-grade cross-country trail designed for riders with basic off-road skills. In late 2025 the trail was closed for a major refurbishment costing around £200,000, led by Forestry England and specialist trail builders On Track. The revamp includes a full resurfacing and widening of sections to improve accessibility for riders of all abilities, including those using adaptive mountain bikes. The updated trail is designed to keep its fun, flowy character with berms, rollers and optional harder sections, and is expected to reopen in spring 2026 as part of Forestry England’s “Access for All” programme.

  3. I love the name Yer Tiz that is cool. You have very good coordination and you said that was slow, blimey. I always remember you said you rode along Valley of Rocks 😱 I was scared walking along it.

  4. Yer Tiz was a bit hair raising for this old bird, bird it was really exciting to do the trail with you. Turn left at the dog waste bin is one of the best direction instruction I have heard. Thanks for another great video.

  5. Great ride mate. I've never tried mountain biking and not sure they could find a bike to fit me! 😂😂But if they could I'd be pretty keen to try this out. You make it look easier than it probably is. Glad you found your glasses.
