there has got to be a better way to secure that than the weird lashing setup you’ve got… like, a wooden claw on the toptube. wouldn’t even have to be sprung, just gravity and a large enough claw to hold the tube. and lift it up to take the bike down

Nothing wrong with it AFAIK, carbon is quite strong and I’m sure your bike is quite light. Although I do feel like there might be a “better” way than relying on the clamp on the handlebars, I also feel like… it will probably be fine.

Hanging it upside down from the wheels would be easier.

You can get a little hook shaped for the pedal. I’ve used it for nearly the same setup as you did here.

Bro your hookbolt is already pulling the drywall anchor out of the wall. So, looks like no.
I would put a well secured eyebolt (not a hook) near the seatpost clamp. Then get about 50cm of webbing from the hardware store, tie a small carabiner to each end (water knot) and clip them to the bolt. When you load the bike, put it on the wall, run the strap around the seatpost and clip it to the wall. Simple movement, easy to verify. Seatpost clamp is strong part of the frame.

Is it still on the wall right now? If yes, then yes.

If it was my bike, I’d have the derailleur facing away from the wall & some sort of loop/hook going to the seatpost.
