Looking to buy a bike to get some exercise on. I realistically want to get a gravel bike at some point but live in a suburban area and could get some miles in on paved roads. The guy said he’d take $200 for it which I think is probably a decent deal but I don’t know much about this bike. Thought I found this model synapse on bike blue book and it said it retailed for \~$4,500?? and the private market value is high $700 ‘s. Do you guys think the bike looks in good enough shape for $200?

  1. I doubt you found the right bike. The MSRP for a [2007 Cannondale Synapse Carbon SL 2](https://web.archive.org/web/20090604134312/http://cannondale.com/bikes/07/cusa/road/synapse_carbon/model-7RCL2C.html) was [$3000](https://www.bicyclebluebook.com/value-guide/2007%20Cannondale%20Synapse%20Carbon%20SL%202/?condition=GOOD).

Take it for 200, it is a good bike for that price. It might need some work, spending a bit on making sure it is in good mechanical shape could be worth it.
