Looks fine as is. Just buy another bike with disc brakes and big tires.

  2. Looks perfect as is. Just put time, money and effort into improving the motor at this point.

Di2 rim brake parts are basically free now. But in all honestly i’d just save for a disc set up, wider rims and tyres with integrated cables is just a step on than any upgrade is going to get you on a rim brake bike.

This is going to go down like a lead balloon here, but they stopped developing rim brake stuff 10 years ago and bikes have moved on a long way in that time. So if you’re serious about adding performance a disc brake set up is just a no brainer. Anyone saying the step up isn’t that big either hasn’t ridden a high end disc set up, or has a 200w ftp so can’t tell the difference.

  4. For myself I would change the angle of the saddle and the handlebars. But it’s yours, if it fits you i don’t see anything that you can improve (GP5000 tires in the largest size possible to your frame? Bike computer? Power meter pedals? Good lights to ride at night?)

  5. Need and want are 2 different things. If you don’t know what upgrade you want you probably don’n need it.

Sick bike but If it where mine id take off the oversized pulley wheels. And probably put on some gp5000s. Unless they are tubular wheels

That bike doesn’t need upgrades. It’s fantastic just the way it is. Just ride it and fix anything that breaks.

  8. 3d printed seat? Garmin varia was a good suggestion. Adding a headlight with a camera isn’t a bad idea either

  9. why would you need to upgrade anything? my philosophy is “i’ll upgrade the component that isn’t working for me”… if it’s working for you, then there’s no reason to change anything…. as for chasing weight, it’s a lot easier to shave grams from the nut between the saddle and the handlebars than from anything else… cheaper and better for me, too!

  10. If you really wanna spend money, buy a stand and tools. Best “upgrade” is just getting what you need to service your bike.

Second bottle cage. With just one I would need a refill-stop each 90min. A new cockpit might increase comfort as well. I ride my old CAAD5 occasionally and to be honest, I can’t imagine to do a century ride with that old machine anymore. But for 2-3hrs, I still love it.
