Hi to the Brompton Reddit forum!
Can anyone tell me the name of this long piece that connects the G Line front mudguard to the fork area? Is it called a 'stay'?
Mine seems to have snapped or keeps coming out of its hole (circled in pic 2) on the left, non-drive side. I think it might have happened as I was unfolding but not sure.
The drive-side wire/stay is shown in picture 3.
Any help in naming and where to get a replacement would be appreciated.
Cheers!

They refer to it as a “stay” in the installation video.

So if in UK a G Line front stay can be purchased from Condor Cycles, Brilliant Bikes, SJS or Brompton themselves. But you have to buy the actual mudguard as well as they both come as a package.
Disclaimer: I have no experience with the G-line.
But have a look at Brompton part number [Q103630](https://brilliantbikes.co.uk/brompton-g-line-mudguards-and-fittings/6654-brompton-g-line-rear-mudguard-black.html) G Line Front Mudguard and compare the stay end shape to the one on your bike. Does it look intact?
If so, it looks more like the hook [Q103698](https://brilliantbikes.co.uk/brompton-g-line-spares/6840-brompton-g-line-and-g-line-electric-front-hook.html) (which holds the end of the stay) is the culprit. I think there is a small grub screw (sometimes called a pinol screw) that might be loose or even lost? It is supposed to be tightened using a 1.5 mm allen/hex/unbraco key/bit/wrench.
