The boys have made it to Wales. God’s country. And they’re ready to tackle the infamous Tumble tomorrow.

The final Lloyds Tour of Britain stage on English soil saw the race finish atop Burton Dasset Country Park and saw the first battle of the climbers this race. Young Romain Gregoire took the day and the race lead. Can he keep it on The Tumble?

For G, there was plenty of food-based gifts which he’s keeping from Luke, some excellent Welsh Cakes deserving of our Lloyds Upstaged award, andd over in the Vuelta Joao Almeida did more than enough to take our Continental Tyres Chapeau of the Day.

Enjoy the final two stages – and the boys will be back to talk about it on Monday.

  1. Going to make myself pretty unpopular here but there’s loads of places who call their country or county Gods own….. and the ones I know aren’t that great. Is this compensating for something?

  2. See you in Pontypool this morning, G. i wish you all the best.Last time i met you i got a picture with yourself coming out of Caerleon you was with a Jif rider. Fair play, you pulled over and had a chat. Sorry to disrupt your 100-mile ride.

  3. With all the food you get given, presumably you can’t accept home made food because of not having the traceability of ingredients.
For example there may be something in it that could cause you to fail a drug test.
Perhaps some people who support a rival rider may want to sabotage a particular rider and give them contaminated food.
Obviously almost everyone is genuine, but it only take one bad person to ruin a riders career

  4. Great pod boys. We watched you go through Abergavenny first time around today. There was some dodgy driving through Abergavenny, I hope that wasn’t you Luke 😉. Go well on your last stage later G – thanks for the great memories.

  5. Watched you at devauden stage 5 and Newport stage 6.
G is a really down to earth guy, a great cyclist and advocate for cycling and oh he's Welsh.
    Luke's OK too.
