We wanted to get out after work on Friday night so took a train (from Manchester) to Crewe to get a bit of a distance head start and then cycled out towards the Welsh border about 40km. Saturday was the longer ride with a 130km ride home via some lovely food, lakes, castles and county parks.
We found lots of bridleways were very very overgrown and a couple of the fields paths were waist high in grass.

This is awesome and I’m jealous of the location! I hoping to retire abroad someday and go for bike packing adventures in the eu with my spouse! This looks awesome hope you had a good time with no flats!
