  1. Classic case of british changing history. Indians were never allowed to be present in the same room as a high ranking british officer. Let alone playing snookers with them and if, for god's sake they dared to joke arround their british commanders, they would be wipped and lashed.

  2. What's truly mad is that they played this down in the show. He threw a real grenade into the pool room, but they didn't put it in the show because people wouldn't believe it.

  3. I recall an anecdote about the fire brigade being called to Hereford as a small shed was smoking heavily. Firemen set up hoses etc. and noticed all sas squaddies were stood 500 yards back. When fire chief enquired why they were so far back, sas man said 'If you knew what was in that shed, you'd pull back too'

  4. And those guys playing pool just ran into the night, not at all curious why the grenade in fact did not blow the lounge up. Or why these officers would do that and not run away themselves.

    All a bit silly, if you ask me chaps.
